TOPIC: First, I want you to reflect upon what you know and understand about the ACA (Afforable Care Act), the mission to close the gap for uninsured people and medical bankruptcy, discussions about how care is delivered, and the cost of healthcare.  Next, I want you to write a well-supported piece that clearly reflects your stance in response to ONE of the following questions:- What is/are the primary contributions to the cost of healthcare in the United States? [Think: delivery, facilities, pharmaceuticals, values, education]OR- Has the ACA been successful in ‘closing the gap’ for people in the United States? [Think: access, affordability, impact on families and preventive health]__________________ Your essay should be 2-3 pages long (with 12-point font, 1-inch margins, double spacing, and page numbers) with a separate title page and bibliography. The paper can include your experiences or stories, but these cannot be the bulk of your argument.  Your essay must include at least 3 researched references from scholarly, government, or well-vetted online sources [i.e. NYT or LA Times].  The paper will be graded on the following criteria:Do you answer the question directly, clearly, and in an organized fashion?Do you have a clear statement of intent/thesis statement that ties the paper together?Have you incorporated at least three researched sources?Does the source of the reference introduce bias into your argument (it is OK if it comes from a biased source, but you should identify the bias or the agenda of authors presenting the information), and;How well do you justify your answer? (Note: I will not necessarily be grading whether you answered the questions “correctly,” because that is a matter of opinion).  It is okay to take a strong, empassioned stance, but I need to see your justification.  Writing Guidelines (see Syllabus) will influence grading per the weight of each element
