For this essay, you will pick one new or substantially altered policy (from January 20th 2017 to the present) that is already being implemented by the federal bureaucracy. 1. Pick one  new or altered policy or regulation implemented  by a federal agency (from  January 20th, 2017 to the present, do not use policies created or implemented by previous presidents). It has to a policy that is already being  implemented (meaning in practice, not just something on paper). 2. Explain this new policy.-What is it called?-Which agency and/or department is responsible for implementing this policy?-What is the purpose of this policy?-What problem does it address?-What are the pros and cons?-Who or what benefits from it in the short and long term?-Whom or what does it harm in the short and long term?3. Did this policy come from an Executive Order or are did it originate directly from the agency?4. How is the federal bureaucracy (meaning the agency/department of your choice) implementing this policy?5. Has there been much media coverage of this policy? Was it popular or unpopular? Is it controversial? Explain. 6. Have the courts gotten involved with this new policy?  If so, who brought the suit (or suits) and what was the outcome?
