Criminal justice professionals encounter ethical dilemmas on a regular basis. Therefore, they must be prepared to address a wide variety of ethical dilemmas, using the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) Code of Ethics as a guide. This code of ethics provides general principles and ethical standards for all criminal justice professionals. Criminal justice leaders, managers, and administrators in particular should keep these principles and standards in mind, as they are expected to always behave ethically and set a good example for other employees. Review the article ‘Organizational Ethics Through Effective Leadership.’ Consider how criminal justice managers and leaders can encourage ethical decision making.Review the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ Code of Ethics.
